Big Happy Tent

Where Angels Camp

Children and adults with Angelman Syndrome can experience severe developmental delay, seizures, sleep disorders, zero to no speech, limited mobility and a variety of other complications.  They require care 24/7 for the rest of their lives.

Angelman children and adults are also known for their contagious laughing, heart-tugging smiles, sneaky mischief, obsession with water and an overtly social nature.  They are so loving, in fact, that they are often referred to as "Angels'.

While scientists are just putting Angelman Syndrome under the microscope, Big Happy Tent wants to put Angelman kids and their families into the great outdoors to enjoy camping, adventure, music and play.

For an Angelman family, both physically and financially taxed by the huge challenges that accompany this syndrome, some time communing with nature and friends can be a boost of energy and love with potentially  unlimited positive results.

We all recognize the blessings in our own lives, and for some of us, sharing them with others is not only a “feel good” experience, it’s also a way to fuel the virtues we wish to blanket the Earth with.

It’s our hope Big Happy Tent will take its first families camping by September of this year (2009).  If you would like to help make that happen, please consider visiting our donation page.  Thank you.
